STARBEACH DJ CONTEST WINNER 2012
Royalistic, real name Roy Tebes (Nijmegen, 27 november 1990) is a Dutch House DJ and Producer.
Before he got into music, he was always busy drawing. In 2003 he got inspired by Sensation and DJ’s Armin van Buuren and Tiësto. He bought his first MP3 player, put some electronic music on it and listened day and night. It became a genuine passion, and he decided he wanted to use his creativity to make electronic music himself. In 2005 he managed to get his hands on Fruity Loops 5 and started making his first tracks. He had a wide-spread passion for electronic music, resulting in various productions from Hardcore to Trance. House music turned out to be the genre closest to his heart.
It was around that time he bought his first set of CD players and a mixer. He practiced a lot and soon received his first modest gigs, like birthdays and anniversaries. However, he wanted more so in 2011 at age 20 he participated in two DJ contests which he both won. This resulted in a gig for over 500 people in his hometown Nijmegen at his favourite going-out venue, dance-café van Buuren. He was so blown away by the feeling of playing for a crowd and seeing them enjoy his music he decided he would from that point on go all in to make music his life.
